I was listening to the LifeComm Albany channel today and I heard the LifeComm dispatcher talking to LifeNet 72 and saying that they were loud and clear on to the "Rome Frequency" but coming in scratchy on the "Albany Frequency." Later they talked about being scratchy on "Southern" as well and perhaps switching over to the "Clearing House." I think that the "Southern" channel may be the Stat Flight frequency but I have no idea what Rome and Clearing House are. Anyone have any idea what they are? I checked both NF2G and RR and didn't see anything that might be them.

I think Rome is a remote receiver for 155.265, but I'm not certain about that. If it is, then the other sites mentioned are probably also just satellite receivers on the main LifeComm channel.

Thanks for the reply Dave. That would make sense since it sounds like LifeComm was receiving on all sites at one time. However, I'm thinking that "Clearing House" is something else. This is because they indicated that Lifenet 72 would have to change over too it. Also from going to school and doing EMS over in the Syracuse/Oswego area, I have heard reference to a Clearing House for Medevac dispatching in that area. I have never seen a frequency listed for a "Clearing House" though.

Check the listings on my site for Mercy Flight Central. I'm not saying they use this "Clearing House" channel, but maybe it's one of their frequencies.

CNY Clearance House

The "Clearance House" for the CNY area is in Cortland, south of Syracuse. It is the TLC channel of 151.7450 MHz w/ a 85.4 tone. They use to call in clearances to R/M in Syr on 155.265, but I hear them calling on TLC 151.7450 now.
