Lifesaver "Air Comm"

Recently I've noticed that the base station on 155.3550MHz is identifying as "Air Comm" rather than "Lifesaver Base". I've also heard them referring to "the Huntsville frequency". Is "Air Comm" some sort of central dispatch for air medical transport in Alabama?

yes, tcc no longer dispatches for them i cant remb. where their base is. i have heard huntsville med flight on that freq before the dispatch center is ohma nebraska

I heard a brief exchange between TCC & Air Comm earlier tonight. From the poor quality of the voice I'm guessing they use a VOIP link to the transmitter site here. I wonder if they dispatch for Air Evac? Thanks for the info & the link, very interesting.
