Lincoln County modified their WPGE655 license on 3/31 to include the 4K00 emission designators which are usually used for NXDN. A search of their county website shows they have been considering how to handle the narrowbanding mandate since last year. After considering SouthernLinc they formed a tower/communications committee and decided to upgrade their existing systems:

Upgrade to County's Communications System

He said that the county is now ready to move forward with phase two, which includes acquiring the infrastructure required to update the communications center and the tower at Graves Mountain to accommodate digital communications and purchasing mobile and portable radios for OES, public works, and the Sheriff's Office.
