It looks like Lincoln Park is getting ready to switch over to digital. On the pd frequency there has been alot of testing in digital(476.600). so i would assume they will be keeping the same frequency just changing it to apco 25. If anyone knows anymore about this the floor is yours..thanks

I'll have to listen. There radio's sound pretty good. A few radio techs I talked to, plus an engineer from Motorola, is that if the radio system is working properly meaning audio quality is good, there is no reason to switch to digital from a sound quality standpoint.

Yes, digital sounds slightly better, but from what the engineer told me it's just a gimmick by motorola to sell new radios. The other thing, some dept's think they are less likely to be listened to because of the high cost of digital scanners.

Anyway, that's what I heard. Believe what you want. The only 2 towns that are digital right now are Parsippany and Montville. Montville because they have money to blow. Parsippany I have no idea why. I don't count towns that are dispatched by the county.

Sorry, but I do not know anybody in Lincoln Park. I don't even know who does their radios.

I only know Royal, CSI, and the place in Montclair, and there's a place in Paramus somewhere?

The Place in Montclair is no longer Warner Communications, they have been bought out by pinnacle wireless http://www.pinnacle-wireless.com/more_news.php?id=24 and Regional is in Paramus. I believe Lincoln Park used Warner.
