I'll have to listen. There radio's sound pretty good. A few radio techs I talked to, plus an engineer from Motorola, is that if the radio system is working properly meaning audio quality is good, there is no reason to switch to digital from a sound quality standpoint.
Yes, digital sounds slightly better, but from what the engineer told me it's just a gimmick by motorola to sell new radios. The other thing, some dept's think they are less likely to be listened to because of the high cost of digital scanners.
Anyway, that's what I heard. Believe what you want. The only 2 towns that are digital right now are Parsippany and Montville. Montville because they have money to blow. Parsippany I have no idea why. I don't count towns that are dispatched by the county.
