Little Egg Harbor Township Police are now operating on a conventional APCO P25 digital system. Frequencies have not changed. This also includes Tuckerton PD as they are dispatched by Little Egg.

LITTLE EGG HARBOR - Having trouble hearing police communications on your old scanner? That's because Wednesday police departments in Little Egg Harbor and Tuckerton converted from an analog to a digital radio system.
The new system allows for secure encrypted communications if needed, and provides a more reliable way for officers to communicate from patrol cars to police headquarters, officials said.
However, police in Little Egg Harbor will maintain an analog system as back up.
Tuckerton purchased radiois for each of the borough's patrol cars last year, and bought digital radios for the Tuckerton Fire Company in 2004.
Tuckerton Police Chief Charles Robinson has said the digital system will allow borough officers to communicate with Little Egg officers ion the field.

DJ88 or anyone, do you know which unit numbers are used by Tuckerton PD? I have been monitoring with a PRO-96 and the system is working well and no problem to receive, just trying to figure out who's who. Has the LEH FD made the switch to the county 500 mhz trunked system?

Tuckerton units are 32xx, and I was told that they may also be referred to as just 3xx. The FDs (Stations 70 - Parkertown, 71 - West Tuckerton & 72- Mystic Island) are on the County Trunk System, as is Station 50 - Tuckerton. They dispatch by county on conventional UHF Fire Dispatch 508.1875 PL 71.9 and their assigned trunk system talk group for response and fire ground is Zone 2 - 20544. If you are monitoring them remember, all of the FDs on the County Trunk System have the capability to use any and all of the Fire Talk Groups if and when necessary.
