I don't understand how LIV golf tournaments work, but there's a lot of money involved. The organizers probably don't want the general public to know how game play is being handled in the background. I'm definitely not saying that LIV is doing anything illegal or immoral.

Not unusual for motorsports officials to use encrypted radios. IndyCar and NASCAR require that comms between pit and car remain unencrypted though I imagine the teams use encryption for other comms within the team.

Well, why not use encrypted communications? Pose the question to the event officials "Do you want totally secure communications?" Most would be inclined to answer in the affirmative. Just my simplistic analysis.

I doubt LIV itself is doing anything illegal/immoral but as for those who have pumped approx $5 billion to date into the league..... well.... ;)
