Public Service Communications Monitoring
CLIFTON PARK, NY – A free presentation for the public on how to hear local law enforcement, fire, and emergency services communications will be held November 14th starting at 6:30 PM in program room “C” at the Clifton Park - Halfmoon Public Library located at 475 Moe Rd, Clifton Park, NY 12065.
“Scanners are a valuable tool for hearing what’s going on with local public service communications,” Fred Halley, one of the presenters, said. “Members of the public can hear what’s going on before it hits local radio, TV, or social media, with the potential benefit of avoiding trouble spots or traffic tie-ups.”
The presentation will cover such topics as:
- what you can hear,
- why listen,
- how to hear,
- what equipment you need
- future trends in local public service communications monitoring
The presentation is free to the public. For additional information, contact: Fred Halley at 518-505-3733
