How legal are they in Virginia? I have one ready and set to go but didn't want to get in trouble. Right now I only have friends listening to it. I searched this topic on google but nothing looks really enforceable.

live feeds legal

From what I understand of the law in Va. only radar detectors are in illegal in cars or trucks there, listining to police and fire is not illegal either by internet or live from a scanner. I have a Maryland live feed here and have had culpepper and fairfax VSP in the scan in the past: http://acmscanner.no-ip.org

Good luck

That's what I'm thinking too....

Well as soon as I find out I will announce to everyone on here that a live scanner feed is available. It will only have Richmond, Henrico and Hanover law enforcement channels.

Communications Act of 1934, As Amended - strictly illegal anywhere in the US, unless what you're scanning is being broadcast for the express purpose of public consumption. That only includes AM, FM and TV broadcasts and amateur radio transmissions.
