"The Ventura County Fire Department plans to start a vegetation fire north of the city of Ventura Wednesday.
The fire in Sexton Canyon is within the Thomas Fire burn scar.
It's a training fire that will be used to practice the use of backfires and also to study fire behavior, suppression technique, and refinement of incident command operations.
The operation will begin at 10 AM Wednesday and start to wrap up by 3 PM Wednesday."
Sexton Canyon runs north into the foothills from the intersection Foothill & Victoria.
This could provide interesting listening. Perhaps some frequencies little used during normal operations.
The mouth of the canyon is 3 miles from my home. I hope to get in some good listening.
