LMPD In Talks To Make National TV Show

I saw on the news a couple days ago that the LMPD is about to sign a deal with legendary TV producer Stephen J Cannell to make a TV series about the Louisville police.LMPD says that the deal is about 90% done and that the pilot could air as soon as this fall.

I work close to the Newburg neigborhood, once LMPD pulled over a car, they found drugs in the car, I noticed a camera crew with them video taping the whole thing. I never seen it on TV though.

It usually takes several months to get to the air. LMPD has to approve the final edit before it goes "public"

The new show will be something similiar to COP or Dallas SWAT. I have heard both things were in the works.

Last summer I got caught in a middle of a bank robbery(BB&T Preston Hwy), I saw a kid dive into a car, and they almost hit my truck trying to get away,did not think that was a normal way to get in a car LOL!, got to work and turned on my Pro-97, and heard LMPD serching for the robbery suspect, but no one had an ID of the car, I called 911 and gave them the car description, the suspects were smart, they took off thier license plate. Don't know if they ever caught them.
