so, my DROID Turbo on Verizon just got the push notification this morning for the 5.1 Lollipop Update.
DAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYUM! phone runs about 4x faster than it did with Kitkat 4.4.4
even the camera's FPS is exponentially noticeably faster and smoother.
though i had one major issue, 30 minutes after the update, a mysterious crash occurred.
the phone went blank, then came back, threw a notification sound at me, and displayed this:
Unfortunately, System UI has stopped working.
and i could not get it to stop, even safe mode booting failed to resolve it, i wound up booting the strap mode, and forcing a full wipe from factory recovery mode.
other than that one burp, i LOVE 5.1. Google and Motorola did a good job working out all the kinks that the soak test for 5.0 caused MANY problems with.
anyone else using 5.1?
the one thing i truly enjoy now, ( which was a error on Motorola's Part, and it was decided to wait for 5.1 ) i can now do 4G LTE and Voice Simultaneously on Verizon..... the DROID Ultra, MAXX and Turbos were affected by this error on Motorola's part in the firmware and RADIO-Comm programming.
( first person bashing Verizon i request the topic locked!! you KNOW who you are! )
other than that, 5.1 has been a blast for the first 12 hours. ZERO compatibility issues with previous apps.
