Is there any advantage to programming one site over another? I see site 1 has more channels, so does each site carry different traffic. Where I live the west site (3) comes in the best. If I travel to London should I monitor site 1 vs the west site (3) ?

Not all sites carry all the traffic all the time. If you have no problem with signal strenght, I would suggest site 1.

They seem to carry most of the action

Site 1 carries all the traffic typically. Sites 2/3/4 will only pick up activity as units roam around the city and don't have sufficient signal from site 1. So while you may hear fire or animal control on Site 3 right now, they might be gone 10 minutes for now.
