• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

MC2000 Deskjet. Should be db9 to rs232 I believe. Motorola part # DDN6367. Don't need the cable, really just need the pin out. Checked batlabs, didn't see anything for PC to MC2000.

Any help or information would be appreciated!

Blue Max 49ers has an USB cable for around $40.
Pinout diagram would be nice, I could make it today....but option to buy is next best!

Couldn't find the DDN6367 there though. I saw the MCS2000 with USB, but not the DB9 cable for the MC2000. Is that the one you're referring to, RKN4063?

Batlabs has the pinout too if you have a RIB.
Guys he is talking about a MC2000 remote, not a MCS2000 Radio. Different Cable and different software.

I would start on MOL if you have an account. Some of the old stuff is still there and not on myview. If you dont have an account not sure.

I have been unable to login to MOL for the past week or so. I keep getting stuck in a login loop with Okta. No issues with myview. Is anyone else having this issue? I am trying to get the MC2000 RSS as well.

MOL is working fine for me. I searched on MC2000 and came up with a page full of manuals and an RSS software listing which shows:

RVN4178AMC SERIES, MC2000/2500
2001-05-15

well darn. I opened a ticket with Motorola and the response was that MOL was being discontinued and access was no longer being restored. Seems weird that I could get in about 2 weeks ago.

I had heard that this would be the last week for it although it still seems to load for me.

However, I doubt you'll find the software there.

Friday the 6th was supposed to be the last day for MOL. I got in and grabbed the latest APX on that day. Haven't been back to see if it has indeed imploded. Now to call to switch APX to My View.
