One day it all stoped working. I use my BCD15X only to hear Grey Bruce, ESM, (LONDON North) it went deaf last week.
I reset the 15X, reloaded my back-up, still nothing. I went on line to RR, made a new file... loaded to my 15x... still comes across the screen, looking for CTRL CHNL, anyone know why this is ???

My other 2 working fine (I have 3 15x)... I even did a clone, still nothing.
Please help!

Apparently, the control channel frequency is not programmed into the system that you have programed into your scanner, thus the error message. Please provide the info on the system in question.

You're probably listening to the Wiarton site?

Check to see that both control channels are programmed in 142.245 and 142.605.

I suspect though that if you've got two more scanners of the same model and they're working, something is wrong with this one. Have you checked the local Environment Canada weather radio?

Sounds like an antenna port issue. Check your local Environment Canada active freq. while on it wiggle the antenna connector. I suspect a cracked solder joint on the internal connection.
