Looking for Feedback on a Browser-Based Morse Code Audio Decoder

Hi everyone,

I’ve been experimenting with browser-based Morse code decoding and wanted to get some feedback from people with more experience monitoring CW signals.

Most desktop applications work well, but I was curious whether a browser-based approach could be useful for learning, quick testing, or decoding simple recordings without installing additional software.

As part of that experiment, I built a browser-based Morse code audio decoder and learning tool that lets users upload a Morse code recording and attempts to decode it directly in the browser.

I’m interested in hearing from experienced operators:

• How does browser-based decoding compare with software like FLdigi or CW Skimmer for clean recordings?
• What are the biggest challenges when decoding real-world CW with varying speed, background noise, or fading?
• Are there any publicly available sample recordings that you recommend using for benchmarking decoder accuracy?
• Besides audio decoding, what features would you find useful in a web-based Morse code tool?

I’m not trying to replace established desktop software, this project is mainly intended as an educational resource and a convenient way for newcomers to experiment with Morse code before moving on to more advanced tools.
