Does LAPD assign citywide Tac channels by default according to bureau or station like LASD? For example, LASD Malibu dispatch Ch 10 is associated with L-Tac Ch 01. I'd like to know what the defaults are for LAPD stations. For example, which Tac would Van Nuys use by default? The more you know, the merrier. Thanks!

Not assigned by default necessarily. While Van Nuys and other divisions have their "simplex" channels, which are sorta like L-Tacs/car to car type channels, they have bureau tacs for the 4 bureaus. Valley, West, Central, and South. So if you cared about valley, scan the 2 valley bureau tacs. As for the Citywide tacs, it comes down to the first available tac. So on one incident, you could get CW Tac 1, another you get CW Tac 5, etc etc. just changes every time. But you can always just scan all 7 and listen to whatever's on there at the time.
