I'm going to be moving to Cook County, Mount Prospect to be exact, and I'm having a bit of a time trying to locate fire and ambulance dispatch frequencies for this location. It looks like fire is dispatched through Northwest Central Dispatch, and i found a TG for Fire 2, but I'm not finding the frequency. I'm also trying to find local ambulance dispatch frequencies if applicable. TIA.

Mount Prospect fire/EMS and police are dispatched on the STARCOM21 statewide trunked radio system. Police dispatch comms are encrypted, while fire/EMS comms are not. You'll need a scanner capable of tracking a 700/800 MHz trunked system. See the Radio Reference website for additional information.

Okay, so forgive my ignorance. I located the TG, but where do I find the proper site to program the relevant frequencies into the scanner?

If you're in northern Cook County, try STARCOM21 Site 149.
