Hey djeplett, Any news on the Radio upgrade in Waupaca county, I heard the Symco tower got knocked out again :roll: Also understand they are going to build a new tower in the NW part of the county , Wyoming or Helvetia township?

Haven't heard anything yet. I'll be talking to a guy on Thursday night who may be in the know, so I will report back anything I hear.

I missed today's 5pm test page, so I didn't hear if the Symco tower is offline. Wouldn't surprise me. I haven't heard anything on Waupaca's Channel 2 (155.535) for a LONNNNG time. And Channel 1 still has that horrible feedback sound once in a while.

No news on radio upgrades from the people I know. Supposedly a few new repeaters have been purchased but it is not known where/when they will be implemented. $8 million is the figure they heard for an entire new system. Digital with no trunking. Long term plan includes MDTs. But they weren't very optimistic.

I still haven't had a chance to catch if the Symco tower is online or not.

Thanks, Are they going digital all across the board or only law enforcment, just my opinion but if they play there cards right and place those repeaters in the right spots they could have a jam up radio system, and replace that crappy Symco tower ASAP( also known as the worlds largest lightning rod)
