Invergorden that is very close to the ground very short you're dowel was very low according to the man in the radio user it's fine right near the floor
The Wellbrook is an 'active' loop, meaning it has a preamplifier. These are necessary simply because the loop itself is very small in relation to a wavelength at a given frequency on HF or MW - the amp makes the difference (yes, that's VERY much simplified).
why did you put simplified ?
the man at wellbrook said that you have a antenna interface unit between the coax and the Receiver is
That right
and you do a coax cable first from the loop then to the interface unit then to the reciever ?
Get a look at the picture - the interface between the very low impedance loop and the amplifier are in the box at the bottom of the antenna - the coax goes between the box and your radio via the power adaptor which supplies power via the coax cable to the amplifier but blocks it from your radio - the signal still gets through.
With the power injector box comes with a 1 metre length of coax fitted with a BNC connector which attaches to your receiver.
You plug in 12v DC to the box so the box needs to be close to your power utility socket. When my loop arrived from the uK it came with a UK power pack so you need to check that yours comes with appropriate power or you'll need to supply your own 12v.
You will need an appropriate length of 50 ohm coax to go between the power injector box and wherever you choose to locate the loop. Mine was located 20m from the shack but I presume up to 100m will be OK, anymore and I think you'll lose some signal along the way.
