Sac County and City have been running two control channels lately, one digital and one analog. As a result your scanner will not trunk properly unless you delete these digital control channels. For the County the digital control channel is 868.9375. For the City system it is 868.825. Delete these and you will be back in business.

When you say city system are you referencing the west sac fire sytem or sac city fire which is shared with sac metro fire. I am a little confused because I never programmed the 868.825 into any of my scanner and it isn't in the data base as a control channel, unless I am missing something.
Also is fire going digital of just PD

When we say "City" and "County", we're not referring to what agencies are on the system, but who the frequencies are licensed to and which jurisdiction maintains the system.

Thus, the "City" system is the one that Sac City PD, West Sac PD, and West Sac Fire are all on.

The "County" system is the one that the Sheriff, Sac Metro Fire, and Sac City Fire are all on.

Obviously, there are MANY more users than just these, but they're the major players. I also hyperlinked the database for the systems.

Good Evening,

My handheld is back in action (Dead battery) and I have not had any problem with the City (I did drop the frequency recommended) system or the County either and I did not drop the CC freq.

Beyond my scope of knowledge as of now; but with the minds that we have here at this site, we Sac area monitoring folks and myself will all learn more as these new systems move forward.
