If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

I am curious if I can program my LPE200 to scan one system and some conventional (both analog and Provoice) freqs.

I've been told by one person that it's an either/or sort of thing, but it can scan both a trunked system and conventional freqs at the same time.

Anyone here have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

You can scan both trunked and conventional together in an LPE200.

What you cannot do however is have both conventional and trunked channels in the same system.

You need to enable the "scan across systems" flag and you should be good to go.

Okay...I thought I knew what I was doing, but apparently not.

I am trying to program an LPE200 (system) with ProGrammer (TQS3385) (version R16A05). I have one Edacs trunked system in system 1 and about 10 conventional frews in system 2.

I want to be able to put the radio in scan mode and have it scan both the trunked system and the conventional freqs at the same time.

Can anyone provide any tips to make this happen?

Thanks again.
