It looks like Madbury has joined the --mix-- transmission group. I just happened to be doing a quicksearch last night and caught 155.775--136.5... I monitored for a few, and realized it was 1 transmission, so I cleared the pl and there it was, a mix communication. P25 on 1 end, analog on the other.. Dover does that--not wild about it..

How would that work? Is it a type of hybrid configuration within one system? Or, is it simply a patch between a newer P25 TRS and an older analog frequency?

Just curious,

THAT--I couldn't say. All I know is 1 minute they are p25, the next is 1 side of the transmission, now the other side is analog. Dover, Somersworth, now madbury plays with that. Except Somersworth uses it to talk to AMR and American ambulance--( ambulances are analog to dispatch, p25 return to ambulance--pd all p25 )

Just curious,

NH as a whole does not use any TRS. It is conventional P25 and/or analog. They simply program the channel(s) to be mixed mode receive and transmit either P25 or Analog.

Nashua & Manchester, NH use TRS, but are separate from the rest of the state.

Dual-Mode allows units to use either P25 or Analog

Unit A - could be P25 talking to Unit B who is using Analog

Both Could use P25 or both Could use Analog as well, all depends on which mode/channel the radio is enabled on.

Sounds like you are confusing Trunked Systems and P25
P25 can be Conventional not just trunked

Yeah, in that moment, I had assumed "TRS" when reading "P25". I should've known better, especially since I've listened to other dual-mode systems before. Thanks for the reminder.
