Wondering how communication was at the large warehouse fire. I heard St Louis City's dispatch and communication on their Command B. Than I was busy the rest of the day. Did all companies use a Madison county inoperable channel?
I don't know what conventional fire ground Communications they were using, but there was a lot of activity on St Clair County Fire TGs (fite common 1)., ITTF TG, MedStarTG,

I had a Dr's appt @ Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City as the city's fire units started to roll. Didn't have a scanner w/ me, just an amateur HT. Still, heard traffic on GCFD VHF repeater 151.3400(153.7700)[123.0], including the orders for FF's to evacuate. Also heard them make sure everyone had gotten the word & made it out.
Apparently, the fire started just as I was arriving to my appt ~10am. I was out by 11am and took a pic (~1.4 mi away looking SW).
