OK so I live in south madison and everyday and night I always see and hear all sorts of diffrent military planes flying around. I think it would be pretty cool to hear what they are saying up there so if anybody knows any Freqs please share.

Do you want squadron Ops freqs?
If so your best bet is to search the UHF Air band and 135-144 Mhz.

Monitoring the database
Hit the database, search the wiki and the forums for some of the more common MilAir channels and you will be set.

Plug in the Volk AM freqs too.

The digital ones listen in the database are LMR frequencies not air.
Stateside I dought they will use "Green Coms"(encryption). Their air comms should be anolog and in the clear.

a search of 138 - 140 MHz in AM mode will allow you to catch the majority of local air-to-air radio comms used by WI ANG flights as well as other nationwide units using the local gunnery ranges or air refueling in the WI area. You will hear some sort of communications almost daily. Remember, mode has to be AM and some scanners aren't capable.

MADScan, you may want to check out (CARMA), the Chicago Area Radio Monitoring Association. CARMA has a large file on military frequencies in the Midwest.
