Madison police talk groups

Hello. I'm new to the forum and trunk tracking. The talk groups listed for MPD "split city" operation are 40048 for north, east, and, central units, and 40080 for south, and, west units. However, when MPD goes split city, I'm unable to pick up the south and west units. Does anyone know if the talk group numbers have changed? Thank you, in advance, for any help.

They changed some talk groups recently when they updated the system for rebanding. Though, I'm pretty sure channel 3 is still the same, 40080. I'll listen a little more closely to see if I can hear them.

There has been a couple times in the past few weeks where channel 3 seems to be silent and all the radio traffic is on channel 5. I'm not sure why, but I've noticed that happening from time to time.

Also if it wasn't mentioned, they don't usually go split city until about 2:30pm until about 2:30 am or whenever it quiets down a bit.

I found the talk group number for the south and west units during split city operation. The number is: 40115. 40080 is now tactical channel 3. 40048 is still the all city dispatch, and, the north, central, and, east dispatch during split city operation. Does anyone know the talk group number for tactical channel 5 ? Thank you.

As far as I know channel 5 is still channel 5. Parking enforcement uses it now. Channel 6 is the parking enforcement talkaround channel as far as I know. I've heard parking enforcement refer to it as channel 5 so I don't think anything has changed other than the channels usage.

For law enforcement tactical situations, they have been using channels 7,8,9 etc. for those purposes.

Hopefully that makes some sense. I have been only hearing parking or channel 3 activities (I assume a patch of channel 3) on channel 5.
