With regard to the EDACS system, I understand that it eventually will be offline, but for now I still hear Sheriffs operations, warrant squad and such. What about the "Hotline?" Is there going to be a talkgroup on NJICS for that and others such as "Patrol Supervisor?"

Everything on 700 sounds pretty amazing to be honest. It's as if you're listening to an official department radio. Little to no interference, no annoying analog static.

I prefer the sound of analog. More intelligible. Same with HF.

The Union County Prosecutor's Office has started to distribute new 700 mhz radios to their personnel, but all of their transmissions will be encrypted.
