I noticed recently I can here Manasquan First Aid tones go out on 154.98 as usual but there is no dispatcher announcement after and there is no communications between their dispatch and the rigs. The fire department, when dispatched, still has a dispatch announcement after the tones and communications. Does anyone have any idea what is going on? Are they communicating on another frequency after the tones?

Could the alert tones be used to alert people that there's communications coming in, and the actual info showing up on the vehicles' computer screen?

About a week ago, my friend in Ocean County who regularly monitors Monmouth and Ocean told me he heard Manasquan alert tones and voce dispatch coming over the Brielle fireground frequency 154.3550. I can say, that during the week Manasquan had a job and I did monitor Manasquan and Brielle units operating on 154.3550, although I am not completely familiar with how those two towns have been using that repeater on mutual aid runs between the jurisdictions?
