Manchester / Hampstead PD

Hi Guys, Just picked up a Uniden Home Patrol 2 and put in my zip of 21102. I was hoping to get local Hampstead and Manchester Police chatter. I get much further away Westminster and cockeysville as well as some other balto counties police but mainly wanted to hear my locals. I did the on screen simple setup and installed Sentinel but did not see those agencies in the list.

Any suggestions or are those encrypted? Any help would be great. Thanks

According the the RR DB here there are no Talk Groups for those jurisdictions on the Carroll TRS.
Just Westminster.

Thanks four...so what does that mean in essence? That their frequencies cannot be picked up by a scanner or encrypted?

If there are no discrete frequencies or TRS Talk Groups listed, there's nothing to hear.
Wait, maybe they use the Sheriff's Office TG's, try listening to them.
Did you check the DB to see what I'm saying?

Keep a hear on the County Sheriff & your district Highway Patrol might be dispatch out of there.

Last time I was up there I didn't take my scanner, but I'll check when I go up next week. My understanding was that they dispatch from the CCSO TG, but it's been a while for me...

Manchester is dispatched on the sheriffs system.
I used to know the individual unit designations but I can't remember them anymore.
If I can find some of my old notes, I'll supply them here.
As far as comms. between the officers go, they used to use their cell phones which were at one time Sprint with the "walkie-talkie" feature.
I'm not sure if that's still the case.

My understanding is most local police departments in Carroll County are dispatched on the Sheriff's TG, with the exception of Sykesville, which is dispatched by the MSP Westminster barracks.
