• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

I am looking for the Syntor X9000 manual supplement for a consolette.

Specifically looking for the interface board that goes under the radio to connect to the DGT9000 remote.
I have BOXES of these remotes and need the interface board information.
I know there is a DB25 added to the back of the cabinet where the SB9600 bus and the TX/RX audio is available.
The DB25 is where the consolette gets connected to the junction box that goes to the remotes in a local remote installation.

I have ALL of the other manuals for the X9000, just not this one.
I can scan and return or pay for a copy.

Thank you!

George

If you will PM me with an e-mail address, I will send you what I have. Several files and drawings. I am not sure the DGT9000 is compatible, however compatible model numbers are listed in the manual below. I have one of these stations, an 800 MHz. I intend to swap out a Low Band X9000 radio and control head. I have not yet decided on the digital control board as to its usefulness for what I have in mind. The power supply will need to be replaced with a switcher to provide the power needed for a 100 watt radio. These stations are a beast.

How does one PM on this platform? I tried to find a way to respond to poster but didn't see a way to do this.
Are you the same RFI-EMI over on RB?

When you are talking about X9000 consolette, the sheet metal comes in two flavors.
1. The 800 MHz trunking type consolette used a power supply rated at like 5A or something small like that. This cabinet does not have the extended right side of the cabinet that the high power consolette has.
2. The low band, high band or UHF 100 watt consolettes have an extension on the right side that's about two inches wider than the 800 MHz consolette. This is to allow the wider heat sink AND the larger transformer AND the caps that are not included in the lower current supply.

The wider cabinets are not nearly as available as the trunking station cabinets. I like your idea of slotting a high current switcher in the right side of the cabinet. It will certainly fit with space to spare. You will have to upgrade the wires to the radio connector because they are not going to carry that current for a 100 watt UHF or low band radio. You will have to gut the linear power supply to make it fit but certainly can be done.

a) How does one PM on this platform? I tried to find a way to respond to poster but didn't see a way to do this.

a) There is an "envelope" on the toolbar which will indicate if you have "mail". I will send you a test message using that envelope/button.
b) I am probably "that guy" on RB.

The consolette I have is the smaller cabinet 800 MHz flavor and it has that HRN4002B board inside. It seems most of the signals for a normal X9000 control cable pass through that board. I have some additional schematics, some but not all the "pages" for some reason. If I can obtain the signals I need for my conventional LB X9000 operation I am going to leave it in place, unless it is faulty some how. If that is the case I am going to make a "dummy board" to plug in the cables and cross connect them. Yes the power supply for an 800 MHz station is too wimpy for a LB 100 W radio.
