Looks to be a pretty easy test. I'll have to add it to my list of "to done's".

it's not bad if you study and/or have years of experience in comms. some things are hard, some are easy, but overall the test ain't bad. i aced element 1 and got 98 on element 2, took about 20 mins to do both and another 10 to double check myself.

I think we can call it horn successfully tooted?

davidgcet, Did you go off of experience or study, and if study what method did you use? For what it costs to sit for the test I darn well better be passing when I do take it.

both actually, i ordered Gordon West's GROL +RADAR study guide and it laid it out pretty good. i wish he would have explained more on some of the stuff, and less on other parts, but over all i attribute a good bit of my passing to his guide. the GROL has a lot of ship/aircraft stuff that i really did not need, but then again the purpose of the license is more for that area of work. i got mine because it was time to upgrade from CETa to CETj and because i needed it to work on some customers' equipment that require a licensed tech for repairs.

CG-111 is 162.455 MHz
CG-112 is 163.050 MHz

These frequencies are usually encrypted, but not always.

You might want to take a look in the RR WIKI as there are plenty more of those VHF Nets along with some UHF You most likely want to ADD

Also Encryption varies by Unit / Sector / Station - it's hit or miss

All use the NAC of $293
