does anyone have any freq's for the MARTA transit system?

OH BTW: i only have a little POFS Radio Shack PRO-83. is this a good scanner for most common uses to listen to this stuff?

PRO-83 will not pick up MARTA or any other trunked system

Not to pick nits but, yes it will pick up an analog trunking system. It may not trunk track. You can, however, still scan the repeater outputs and hear what is going on. On a busy system you may hear bits of this conversation and pieces of that one. I am setting hear right now listening to the county's TRS(type II smartnet) on a PRO-2048 non-trunking scanner. It is a rural county and there is not a lot of traffic (unless the school busses are running, they never shut up) so you can follow what is going on fairly well.
