Mashpee PD TG Simulcast on MSP Zone 3?

Hello. I can receive Bourne PD (TGID 38128) on the MSP Zone 3 Simulcast, but I cannot hear the Mashpee or Sandwich PD TG's that are on MSP Zone 4 (Upper Cape). I am in the Fairhaven area and cannot receive Zone 4, but I was hoping to get a few Upper Cape PD's that are now primarily on the MSP system...

Any suggestions are very much appreciated!

Thanks,
Ed

If you don't hear them on Zone 3 and can't receive Zone 4 you aren't going to be able to hear them.

I should have asked my question differently. Of all the Cape agncies on Zone 4, why would only Bourne PD be simulcast on Zone 3 as well? Is that due to Zone 4 coverage gaps in Bourne? I was expecting to also be able to receive Sandwich and Mashpee on Zone 3...

It's all affiliation based. TG's are typically only carried sites that a radio is affiliated too, unless they are force strapped to a site by a sysadmin which is rarer. Long story short is someone probably has a radio on site 3 affiliated to Bourne PD.

Since Bourne is on both sides of the canal, it's likely that some units will affiliate with Zone 3. The others are far less likely to do so unless they travel further north and can't hit Zone 4.

Which is pretty much what nikronzo said. ;)

Same reason why I can hear Provincetown in Zone 3 and 5 - someone with a radio moved/traveled outside of Zone 3 with the radio on and it said to the controller - Hey I am here now , share my departments traffic :)

You will see this with some of the Cape Fire Departments who travel off-da-cape (Sand Bar) to mainland hospitals, especially Boston

Thanks for all the responses! I actually just switched out my older RS800MHz duckie for a Remtronix 920S and can now monitor Zone 4 from my location! (The FCC Zone coverage map doesn't include my location, but I am close to water on Buzzards Bay...) I'm going to add some upper Cape PD's (that use Zone 4 today) to my feed, as I travel over the bridge fairly regularly...

PS, although my 436 is in my attic, I have yet to find a multi-band indoor antenna that works as well as the Remtronix. Roof/outdoor is not an option for me..
