Mays Landing, Hamilton Township PD

Have been told that subject PD moved to a trunk system that was encrpted and could not be received by scanners.. Can anyone verify that?
I'm thinking about buy a new scanner (primarily for Air/Milair and Rail) but would like to be able to monitor Mays Landing, plus Atlantic City Systems..
Any info would be appreciated..

I do not believe they are encrypted, however they are provoice which no scanner will do. If you can get a hold of a provoice radio (expensive, kinda like theirs) and get it programmed properly you should be able to get them. I've been looking for one for a while now and havn't had much luck, although I've probably been looking in the wrong places.

You can listen to AC as long as your new scanner can do APCO25. I believe they do have some encrypted talk groups but primary PD channels.
