McDuffie County Fire Department Encrypted NXDN

I've been noticing nothing but encrypted NXDN traffic on 151.4075 MHz in McDuffie County. Did the fire department start encrypting their tactical channel, or is another agency using this frequency now?

it is encrypted i was staying in Gibson and i was trying to listen to McDuffie county and everything was just a tone and just about everything around Gibson was encrypted

Aside from the police and sheriff's departments, and now this one county fire department frequency, everything seems to be in the clear. EMS and the city of Thomson fire department are in the clear the last time I heard them. As well as the transportation and recreation departments.

Granted, you would have to listen a while to hear any traffic from these others.

It appears that Thomson and McDuffie Co. are merging the fire departments.
