Just wondering if anyone in the Waco area has heard any activity on the McLennan County Fire frequency 154.4150? I have not heard any activity in about 2 weeks.

Last I had heard all McLennan county service (paid and volunteer) were migrating over to HOTRRS.
Yes, They switched in Feburary. As well as West EMS.

Has anyone been able to identify the Talk group for it yet?
There are 5 talkgroups for county fire, 1 countywide, 1 for each district. West EMS has 1 talkgroup and there is an additional West Public Safety talkgroup. They have access to most other fire department and ems/amr talkgroups with some exclusions. They are supposed to have access to the new Hill County P25 system and in the future bell county as well for mutual aid.

Has anyone submitted the Talkgroups to the Database to be updated?

Heard rumor of the dreaded "E?"
I will just say I find humor in the current database entries. Encryption is used when the right people feel like it.

Also HOTRRS admins can use OTAR and do all the time. Hint: County fire radios can no longer scan 😂 Doesnt matter if you have a new APX or an XTS5000 or a Kenwood. No scanning on mobiles or portables. Only G4s can scan.

PS Rumors arent the greatest things to listen to. only confirmed reports and real life evidence should be taken serious.

OTAP or OTAR? OTAR is Over The Air Rekeying. OTAP is Over The Air Programming.

Are you attempting to make a point? Please, elaborate on this statement: "Encryption is used when the right people feel like it." What in the Hell does this have to do with what I posted?

I am curious. Where do you live in Texas?

Both, he ask about encryption. Sorry I didnt specify. Three letter agencies use HOTRRS too by the way.
What are "three letter agencies?" WPD is a three-letter agency is it not? What bizarre statements. "Major Tom to ground control."

I know a man who worked with HOTRRS. Did you happen to take his place?
Well, one of the former system mangers has an account on here...I don't know about the most recently departed (but I've chatted with all of them at one point or another). I am not that person though...

I really don't want to put HOTRRS in discovery mode because of all of the B.S. that surfaces. I would spend the rest of my natural life locking out sanitation, utilities, and other unwanted talk groups. I am going to wait. I really don't care about EMS/Fire. EMS to hospital talk groups creep me out after nearly dying when I was hit by a car while riding a bicycle.
