MCSO Lake Patrol

I am listening to MCSO from the Mesa/Chandler site but I hear nothing from the lakes. I am using 1005 for the talk group and
have even tried using a wild card, still nothing from the lake patrol. Anyone have any ideas what I am doing wrong?

I mostly get 1005 off of Thompson Peak. Only once have I gotten a lakes transmission on one of the simulcast sites.

Thanks for that information. Tomorrow I will re-position my yagi towards Thompson Peak.

The East County simulcast and the North County simulcast may also carry them, given their coverage of the recreational lakes and rivers.

The Anthem/New River simulcast has really good coverage of Lake Pleasant, so you may find Lakes on it as well.

I get Lakes & Mountains off Thompson very well. I only get District 4 and Fountain Hills off Thompson also. I haven't got any other district at all. I have to raise and reposition my ant.

I seem to be receiving all the TGs fairly well. The sites I use are, White Tanks, Towers Mtn, Thompson PK and the Downtown Simulcast. Believe it or not my antenna is on the back of a chair in the living room.

I don't think Thompson Peak carries Districts 1, 2, 3, or 6. You may have to find other sites that carry those.

The White Tanks will carry 2 & 3. The Phoenix (Downtown) simulcast may have 1 & 6. The Chandler/Mesa simulcast definitely will have 1 & 6.

Go to the system page on RR. Click on any of the site names, and you can see a rough coverage circle map of each site. Pick the site(s) that cover the districts of interest that you can also hear.

@KB7MIB- Thanx for for the info. I am in a very "10-1" area. The only thing I can get totally clear on RWC is Thompson Peak and Scottsdale Simulcast and thats because I'm only a few hundred feet from the Sct TXer. and Lakes and Dist 4 on Thompson (New MCSO system) .What I plan on doing in Oct is raise my antenna about 17 or 18 feet on a 25' roof. My signal is currently blocked by a concrete decorative wall. I am also going to put a 700 MHz Yagi aimed at White Tanks with my discone unless you don't think I have to, in which I'll aim it it a Lewis SP. any suggestions?

Tempe Simulcast is trying to get through & so is
Mesa Simulcast.

If you want Districts 2 & 3, the White Tanks site would probably be your best bet, if the Phoenix (Downtown) simulcast doesn't carry both. (I'm pretty sure the Phoenix (Downtown) simulcast carries D1 and D2, not sure about D3.) The Lewis Prison site is probably more of a low level site, and would be further away than the Phoenix (Downtown) simulcast if you're towards the East Valley.
