NINN 27,

Just FYI You will not here much on those Frequencies as they are not used often. I am on a Committee on how to & when to use those Channels when I get the info on them I can send them to you.

PM me with e-mail address and I will send them to you

Hey Folks,
I just wanted to let you all know that over the next month Baltimore Co & MEMA will be doing testing. I have been testing some today with NPSPAC Call 1 866.0125.

Nathan,

Out of curiosity, when you MEMA folks transmit on the RINS or ICALL/ITAC freqs - do you have towers around the state that you can activate/utilize....or only Baltimore area towers?

Doc,

At this time I have Capability of the Region 20 Towers which is the Balto Metro Area (City,Balto Co,Howard,Harford,Carroll & Anne Arundel & in DC Metro Montgomery Co) right now phase one is being worked on as there are 3 phases of the project which will include over 20 Towers.

The Eastern Shore Region is being worked on as well which we may have control over but that has not been talked about for sometime.

EDIT: So all in all the Maryland RINS & NPSPAC Channels are still new & policies are being developed at this time.

Nathan and whomever else knows; Will these policies include implementing the new VCALL and UCALL frequencies? Here's something I picked up off another list; there's a FCC PDF file, and some more information;
================
http://wireless.fcc.gov/releases/fcc00-348.pdf
(Scroll to paragraph 82, which starts on page 37)

VCALL 155.7525
VTAC1 151.1375
VTAC2 154.4525
VTAC3 158.7375
VTAC4 159.4725

UCALL 453.2125 / 458.2125
UTAC1 453.4625 / 458.4625
UTAC2 453.7125 / 458.7125
UTAC3 453.8625 / 458.8625

They are narrowband only and interoperability is the primary use for these
channels as of January 1, 2005. They specifically are not to be used for
communications internal to one agency but rather for multiple agencies --
be they neighboring towns or from different parts of the country -- to
talk to each other even if they don't have any other common channels.
================
I could see Kent County (has a narrowband VHF system) and PG county (still on UHF) using these freqs. 73s Mike
