I'm picking up MDOT's dispatch TG, the same as on MSWIN, on the Hancock County radio system. Anyone have any idea why? As best as I can tell, none of their frequencies are the same as MSWIN.

I'm also hearing Hancock SO and another agency or two from Hancock County, on MSWIN, so I wonder if it's some kind of technical snafu since they're in the process of switching over to MSWIN?

Hancock is converting to MSWIN last I heard.. Run Pro96Com or Unitrunker and chaeck the SysID etc. The change may have advanced . Freqs matter not, only the System. (LOL now I sound like Yoda) Remember, Jones, Forrest, Rankin etc all using the same freqs as they had, just upgraded/converted the core to MSWINs.

As I mentioned earlier, I am hearing Hancock County on the MSWIN system currently, so things are definitely progressing in that area.

I think what's going on is, like you said, they are still using the same freqs since upgrading to MSWIN, and that caused the MDOT TG to be able to show up on the older Hancock County TRS.

The Hancock Co TRS is becoming an site of the MSWIN. Once transition is complete, they will offline the Hancock Co Core, and the MSWIN Core will control the sytem fully. I bet if you runPro96Com or Unitrunker on the system, it will no longer show the SysID of the HCTRS. I bet you it will only show the MSWIN SysID. I would watch the site carefully and log everything. We need the new Site Number, Site NAC, etc. It should be showing an Site Number beginning with 1 as the Gulf Coast is Zone 1. You will also see new TGs for everyone as the numbering for several of the Agencies on the HCTRS would be duplications of already used MSWIN TGs.

From what I know, they are upgrading the EDACS PV to Harris P25ip.

As is Noxubee County.. EDACS to Harris P25ip with linking to MSWIN

I had forgotten about my Pro-668 being able to run Pro96com. Anyway, I checked the system out with Pro96com and they have definitely switched over to MSWIN. So far, I've only confirmed 3 new TG's from Hancock county on MSWIN and will keep an eye out for more.

If I'm understanding your request correctly Milf, the current MSWIN control channel freq is the same as the old system, and these two freqs from the old system are also used on MSWIN: 852.91250 and 853.18750. The others listed for Hancock county TRS are not showing to be used on MSWIN.

As the site gets more usage, you will see the other freqs pop on at busy times. BTW,.. Are the Hancock TGs TDMA or FDMA?
