I'm trying to make a list of fire department pager tones in the Louisville Metro/surrounding counties area. In particular, the ones I am still looking for the fire department pager tones for are Meade, Hardin, Shelby, & Oldham Counties. I already have a list of Jefferson County (exception of 99-C-1 which isn't what I thought it would be and am trying to figure out what it is) and Bullitt County fire department pager tones, but I have had no luck for the rest except for 3 miscellaneous tones for Hardin County in a previous thread here. Anybody have a list (or know any of) the fire department pager tones for these counties?

There is a lot of mischief that has been, and still could be, made, with regard to setting off pagers. So fire departments will be reluctant to share this information. I'm sure you can understand their position.

Yes, I am very aware of the issues that have happened from public pager frequencies. It is a shame that that is something that has to be worried about. I can find them out myself, but as that takes time I thought I would ask here first. I don't plan on making the list public, plan on just keeping it for personal use. However because of that I will gladly take any direct messages with the tones for those who don't want to post them publicly.

Reason being is I am a first responder myself. I honestly just want to have the few tones for either neighboring districts or for areas where my good friends/family live.

Just a thought but if you are a legit first responder, I would first check with the boss (chief) and see if he (she) approves of your endeavor. If so, then maybe you can get the information from the radio service(s). I would still guess reluctance. Me, I wouldn't advertise it. A better way for you would be to purchase 'fire tone decoder' software for your computer. You would have what you need over a short period of time. Scanner Master sells this but at this time I believe is out of stock.

I gotcha, I will have to check that out. That will probably be the better option.

He made this same request in the Indiana forum about 4 Indiana counties. After seeing both threads, the purpose for his 'ask' seems less genuine.

As I said, I am building a list for personal use. However, as long as I can get Charlestown in Clark for my grandparents, and LaFayette in Floyd and Ramsey in Harrison for my Aunt/Uncles, that's all I desire to monitor. Especially my grandparents in Charlestown because of their declining health. Being able to know if they get dispatched on a medical to their house when it happens would allow me to alert other family members. Jefferson would be nice since I go to Hanover College, but that's a long shot,

However, I clearly see it was a VERY long shot to ask on here, so I am just gonna ask an admin/moderator to lock the thread.

Another consideration which may make all of this moot. Every scanner I am familiar with will only do the "Fire Tone Out" on one frequency. So if you are looking for all those counties, you are looking at five plus scanners if you want to monitor all them at once. You might get a Motorola pager but I think at best they will do four frequencies.

The Minitor 6's can do 5, but I bought a used G5 and with those you can have it scan multiple dispatch channels (up to 16 per knob position for conventional channels), either openly or on silent, and alert for different tones on each frequency.
