Hi, has medcenter air changed frequency from 155.325 ? I notice I no longer hear them on this frequency or did they loose some power or what?
thanks

CMC has added a "whoop"-"whoop" sounding alert on the channel for use when activating a flight crew.

It's also possible - I'm just speculating here - that the power or signal orientation off the Charlotte site has been altered to take into account that the site on Anderson Mountain (Hwy 150 and Hwy 16) in Catawba County is now in use.

Hi, well, I discovered something, I used this one scanner ONLY for med center air, and well, there was a short in the coax going to the outside antenna (thankfully I was not tranmitting on a ham frequency when I noticed it). Thanks for your info. I do have another question, the vhf frequency, does it just simulcast to trunking or are they more active there than on 155.325? And does the patient reports simulcast also or not? Just wondering. Thanks for the info!! Is the tower for med air on top of CMC?

From what I can hear, they do not simulcast vhf and 800mhz. 800mhz seems to be mostly general info like refueling info passed along I think. Dispatch(alert tones) and patient reports are mostly heard on vhf. I don't know where the tower is located, but it really gets out a strong signal on vhf. Good question........
