Actually there still is through many local dispatch centers. For example, Shiawassee County moved to MPSCS a couple of years ago. But they retained paging/tone-outs on VHF (155.175 medical, 154.355 Fire) - which is simulcast on MPSCS. Genesee County is similar.

No it isn't. They've never simulcasted central EMS dispatch on analog and fire got digital pagers like a year ago.

What you are hearing is MMR, dispatching in the Central MI counties. The toning is not simulcasted to VHF, but is effective on the TG.
Actually, in Shiawassee County both ambulance and fire are still simulcasting their tone-outs and general traffic on VHF. 155.175 for ambulance and 154.355 for fire. These were their old frequencies.
