Medicine Hat & Cypress County on AFRRCS info.

I’ve noticed that I’ve not been hearing anything on my Uniden SDS100 for radio traffic from Medicine Hat and Cypress County Fire Department’s, as I used to hear lots from them since they began using the province wide Alberta First Responders Radio Communication System.
Does anyone know if they recently went encrypted or if something changed that I’m not aware of?

It can’t be because I am in Taber as I can still receive Lethbridge, County of Lethbridge, Brooks and County of Newell. I’ve even heard some radio traffic from as far as Fort Macleod.

All information is appreciated. THANKS.

MHFD uses AFRRCS only
Cypress County fire primarlily uses an analog system with a AFRRCS patch while they slowly switch systems.
Neither of them are encryped.

I do not think you will hear MHFD or Cypress County fire on AFRRCS unless a radio from one of those departments is in the Taber area.
