I have had the AOR5700D for about 6 months now and i still haven't managed to import a bank of frequencies to scan, i wonder if anyone can help.
I believe the only software to be able to import is ARL2300L, I cannot get this to recognise an import, it either doesnt do anything or it will read but then say cannot import one or more frequencies, so after reading advise i export but have only managed to export anything with bytes in once and even after adding a few frequencies would not read on import, surely it cannot be this difficult, i have had scanners for 30 years and even a cheap 50 dollar radio can import a few frequencies, At the moment this scanner albeit really nice feels like a rolls royce without wheels :) Can anybody help with a template import file that works.

it's my experience that the easiest way is creating text files for each bank. These files then are transfered to the AR5700 memory using the upload funktion of a terminal program (e.g. Terminal).

To create such files you first export the memory data of a receiver. Thereafter you modify them manually maybe using the "replace" funktion of an editor. It takes some effort and time, but it works.

If you own a different AR receiver you can readout a memory bank using the MAnn command. Then you copy the text containing the memory bank information and and create a txt file. Maybe you have to modify commands which are different for the AR5700. This can also be done using the replace function of the editor.

Attached an example of such created file
