Mentor OH PD

Hello All

Just wondering if there are any listeners within the Mentor/Mentor on the Lake area who can confirm if that system is operating. Been a couple days now that I do not hear anything from Mentor. Just got a new SDS150 and John was amazingly helpful in assisting getting it setup. After setup I did hear Mentor calls but nothing now. Heating other police agencies but not mentor. Any info would be most helpful. I probably noogered something up in the new toy

Hi Fellas

I have confirmed that my scanner is properly setup and should be able to hear any Mentor/MOL police and fire traffic for which I am hearing nothing. Now I do not listen constantly but given the size of mentor there should be a whole lot more traffic I suspect than I am hearing.

The person who is helping me with this is going to take a deeper dive and try and get to the bottom of this situation. When and if we learn of anything helpful I will spill the beans.

I’m sitting here this evening listening to the scanner and hoping to hear something out of mentor or MOL. Nothing. Something has occurred. I mean even in the town of chagrin falls there is radio traffic. Nothing from Mentor. Been listening for an Hour or so and nothing. With all the folks coming for fireworks etc, there is not even a traffic stop? Something is going on. Please let this newb know

Mentor is coming in fine for me. Just make sure you are listening to a Lake County MARCS tower and not a Cuyahoga County tower, since you mentioned hearing Chagrin Falls. Mentor PD will generally not pass through Cuyahoga County towers.

Hello Fellas

Well with the amazing assist of swipsey he was able to find out that there was an error on RR as far as control frequencies and that is why I was not receiving Mentor and MOL etc. He has let the powers that be at RR know about this issue and I believe the situation has been rectified. Thank you all
