I have heard that Merced County is on a trunked radio system. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Also, if they are and anyone has the info please post it to the database.

Thanks

Yes it is active.

I confirmed all the frequencies on 2-27-04 during my most boring night at work. You know Graveyard shift 2200-0600.

Have a safe shift

Merced SO - Trunker files

The Merced SO system has not changed in years. Correct fleetmap is E1-P2. Control channels are licensed to Fresno Mobile Radio. Following is trunker log from last week:

Merced SO - Type I
MAP=????????
OPTIONS=nvDf
PLAN=8
DESCR=Type II 105.88 Hz
THRESHOLD=50
DISPOSITION=abcbdbfulxpbsr
v851.7125,1c,ffff,17
c 856.2375,d1,ffff,0
c 857.2375,f9,ffff,0
v858.2375,121,ffff,1813
v859.2375,149,ffff,17c6
v860.2375,171,ffff,190
cd 862.7125,1d4,ffff,0
d 864.7125,224,ffff,0
d 865.7125,24c,ffff,0

The 851.7125 seems to be odd. I never heard any traffic on it while I was monitoring and it is not licensed to the County. Maybe it is licensed to Fresno Mobile Radio. At one time there were 000-xx talkgroups with commercial traffic, mostly habla espanol, but I have not heard these for years. They used different voice frequencies than the SO, but all used the same control channels. I have not researched the licensing for this freq. Monitoring was in the evenings, so there may not have been any commercial traffic while I was monitoring.

Correct TG's are:
600-2 Roads
600-7 Animal Control
600-11 Transit buses
600-12 unk
700-1 SO Dispatch Ch 1 "5100" units
700-2 SO Secondary Ch 2
700-5 SO Detention
700-8 Atwater PD "500" units
700-9 Probation "Paul" units
700-10 SO Detention tactical
700-12 SO Tactical Ch 12

Using this fleetmap the TG's will correspond to the channel numbers.
