meteor shower

There's apparently a signifficant meteor shower coming in August. I have heard that radio signals bounce off of these shooting stars. It's brief, but you can hear a distant station and may be able to gather enough information to identify it by doing some research.

Does anyone do this? I want to give it a try. Are there certain bands that do better for this? How should I adjust my antenna? Any information would be apreciated.
