OKLAHOMA CITY -- A second relatively large earthquake was confirmed in Del City late Monday, officials said.
Authorities with the Oklahoma Geological Survey said the quake registered at a magnitude 2.7 on the Richter Scale. This came hours after a magnitude 3.0 earthquake rattled residents on the southeast part of the metro area during the noon hour.

The earthquake happened at about 6:15 p.m.
It's the sixth earthquake reported in the area so far on Monday.
Authorities said the fifth earthquake occurred in the southeast part of the city during the noon hour. Estimates indicate it registered at about a 3 on the Richter scale.
Several people reported a loud boom followed by shaking in southeast Oklahoma City, Moore and Del City.
