The type of SD card isn't as important as its reliability, and keeping in mind the maximum capacity is 32GB. I prefer SanDisk, and my SDS100 has an 8GB card in it.

The speed number are non important for SD cards used in scanners. But there's always higher numbers and sizes these days and difficult to get a low speed one or lower than 32GB that doesn't cost more than the 32GB one. The bigger the memory size the less write cycle are used per memory cell I.E. will have a longer life span.

Buy a well known brand like Samsung or Sandisk and you will be good. And always have a new spare ready to be used and always program two SD cards when doing any changes to a scanner and have that extra one with you, or in the scanner or taped to the outside to be used as backup if the original one gets corrupted in its file system.

Keep in mind that was 9 years ago..... Considering that Micro SD cards now can come up to 2 terabytes of storage, SD card technology has changed quite a bit over 9 years.....

The scanner is limited to 32 GB capacity cards, which is about the smallest endurance card you can find. There are work-arounds to use larger cards. These things have dropped substantially in price over the years.

Such as? (Only thing I've noticed is price drops.)
