Mid-Atlantic (and beyond) MilAir 2025

Interesting plane being talked about on X (twitter) today, with uncertainty as to whose and what it is. N471US A5C6A4, which was issued a flight certification in October for 7 years but also had a temporary flight certification issued on November 13th, 2025, which expired yesterday, and flew from ADW to DCA where it appears to still be on the ground at DCA. Might be worth watching.

Photos showing the inner door of the plane appear to show a DHS placard and the planes colors are that of those favored by Trump for a new AF1, but the registered owner is a civilian business, VALKYRIE AVIATION HOLDINGS GROUP LLC (there is a Valkyrie in Virginia Beach with Gov't contracts but they do ship building), which until recently did not own any aircraft or have any large government contracts. Could this be one of the new DHS planes talked about in this thread earlier, or something else? Could Valkyrie be a broker or a shell company, or something else?

N471US departed headed east just before C102 departed headed northeast out of the US. Neither showing on ACARS.

The reports about 158FW F-35s present already in Florida apparently weren't right .....
I think they will probably depart this coming week.

Yeah René we got pretty good ears here from Maine to Florida as someone here
should have heard them.
Must have been at least dozen+ C-17 flights in and out of Vermont.. They seem to be bringing along the kitchen sinks as well 🤣
Hopefully will just be a quiet non event Winter deployment to sunny warmer climate.

BENGAL 11 (4x F-35B) did the Bengals-Ravens flyover today, tac 228.300. Took off around 1230L from KFFO and recovered to KCVG. Previously arrived at KFFO on Friday as AMBUSH 11 flight.

Keep hearing callsign 81.

Listening on Boston ZNY Clipper she mentions aircraft near you are 2 F-15's and tanker and heard tanker say BLUE-81.
Sounds like a couple Depot return E models headed back to RAF Lakenheath. ATC push Boston Ctr Cape 128.750

There is a tanker off the jersey coast, 59-1483, sounds like 2 chicks with the tanker

Tanker: ????81
Chicks: ????21 & ????22

I see no other tankers north of their position.

The tanker asked if they wanted to increase speed and the response was that .8 mock is their max with their current configuration.
