How far south has anyone heard this system. Was surprised I couldn't get it on my G5 in and around Bordentown but yet Sonerset Co is chirping away all the way down into Mount Laurel Burlington County.

somerset county has transmitters on the mountains, over 600 feet above sea level, plus the tower. Middlesex county is pretty flat.

I'm in the process of modifying my Medcentral feed to also include the Middlesex County system for fire and ems; hopefully, this should help us out a lot.

I'm still trying to figure out 81 myself; I agree that it sounds like EMS. Which EMS remains a mystery to me and the audio is tearing pretty badly.

81 falls in the county TG range not a town so it maybe a patch

most patches on this system have audio gain turned up to high so they sound distorted.
and hard to make out what they are saying

Cranbury is a patch.

For TG 81, I keep hearing things about "station 44" or "station 43", "engine 44", etc.

Almost certain it is a patch to Mercer East Response 1 for the purpose of Cranbury Township coverage.
Not sure why they wouldn't just use TG 2301, but that's what it seems nonetheless.

TG2301 would be Cranbury EMS, TG 2201 Cranbury FD, the patch should be 2291 maybe since81 is in the county tg range its as patch for several towns that border mercer county , most of companies on that alarm where from West Windsor Twp , WW PD is 18191, so good question why tg81 for FD

It's distorted on all of my devices; it's definitely an audio tuning issue on the system's end.
